Do I Need a Vitalize Peel?

If you have sun damaged skin, fine lines, wrinkles, sun spots, superficial scarring or acne, you may be a good candidate for a Vitalize Peel.

How long does a Vitalize Peel take?

The procedure takes about 20 minutes. You may have chemical peels as often as necessary 3-4 weeks apart.

How Does A Chem Peel Work?

A chemical peel like Vitalize produces a slight injury to the skin, but the peel is not painful. The peel initiates the skin’s wound healing process, encouraging new connective tissue to form. Collagen remodeling occurs, decreasing sun damage and reducing wrinkles. This may occur over weeks or months. Immediately after the peel, you will notice improved appearance of your skin, more even tone, smoother and with a healthy glow.

Is there Any Down Time?

No, activities can be resumed right away. You may experience redness or discoloration immediately after that can be covered with makeup. Flaking may occur a few days after a Vitalize Peel. It’s important to keep skin moisturized to prevent flaking and premature peeling.

Can I be in the Sun after a Peel?

It is critical to avoid the sun while your skin recovers from a Vitalize Peel. After peeling is complete, use a broad spectrum sunscreen to maintain healthy skin.
